I have been talking with The Timeshare Store and have been pleased, but they do not have what I am looking for at the moment. Another board user e-mailed me that "A Timeshare Broker" was also a good place to buy resale. Does anyone else have experience with A Timeshare Broker (http://www.atimeshare.com/)?

Thanks,
ColdNorth

Late last year I bought a resale from the Time Share Store. Shontel Crawford was my broker. I had cruised with her on the Disney Magic in September.

I already had points at OKW that I purchase back in 1992. I was looking to add some more points. I kept watching their web site and when there was an offering I was interested in I called Shontel. I was not able to get my same use year, but I knew the prices where going up, so I jumped at a listing for 150 points. It also had points banked from the previous use year. Banked and borrowed points is something to watch for. That can turn a point price into a bargain or a higher priced "rip off."

Overall I was satified with the sales process.

We purchased an add-on two months ago from A Timeshare Broker. Jaki does all the DVC listings and does a fantastic job. She kept us well informed of everything as it happened. All correspondence was prompt. The whole thing only took about 4 weeks.

You'll find lots of comments about Jaki. Just do a search on JAKI and you'll find a number of threads.

We purchased a resale through Jaki at atimeshare.com She was wonderful to work with. The entire process took about 3 weeks. I would highly recommend her & would use her again for any more points!

Another satisfied customer of Jaki's! We bought our OKW resale thru her. It was a very smooth process and she kept us informed as things proceeded. I would definately recommend her!!:)

Another vote for Jaki. We bought BW resale and she really worked to make it happen. Also the closing service she uses it very prompt. Two - three weeks from deposit to close (they hand deliver deed to courthouse without any extra expedited charge). Make sure you get on her list so she can call if something comes in, many listings never make it to the web site.

I purchased through the timeshare store and the service was excellent. The various post I have read indicate the timeshare broker is also very good. Place your name at both places for the resale you want then go with the best deal. Good luck! I am sure you will find something!;)

Another positive response for Jaki ! We did an OKW resale through her last summer - we called her and "A Timeshare Store" one Friday to let them know what property and contract size we were interested in. Jaki called Saturday morning with a new lead, and we called her back Sunday night and accepted !!

She kept us fully informed every step of the way, and was always available if we had a question. If we can ever scrape up enough moola for another resale, she would be the first person we call. Highly Recommended !

Another vote for Jaki. Purchasing resale through Jaki was a great experience.

A stong vote of support for Jaki. She made the whole experience very simple.:D

We recently purchased at BWV through her and are very pleased!

Jaki probably has no idea how many fans she has. We bought from her too - they had the ideal listing, like you I was looking at both places.

I was VERY pleased with her work, and as you can see, she comes highly recommended.

We also bought from Jaki. She was very professional and very friendly. She kept us informed. She works hard for you.

What can I add that has already been said about Jaki and A Timeshare Broker. From time of offer to closing took less than 4 weeks and that was over Christmas week when things usually come to a complete slow down for moving paperwork. She stayed in good communication with us and completed all the paperwork and all we had to do was right the check and sign on the dotted lines, without mouse ears.

Another happy resale buyer through A Timeshare Broker/

I vote no for jacki

I wanted to make business with her , following your recommendations
I have e-mailed her three times and she even not responded.
I am in the process to buy with pat spell from "timeshare store" and she was fast, gived good advice and answered all by questions.

Wow, Thanks everyone for your replies. It is hard to measure the value of getting first hand advice. That's what makes this board so great!

THANKS AGAIN,

ColdNorth

We just signed our closing papers for a VB resale today with A Timeshare Broker. We have been dealing with both Jaki and her son and have been very pleased with their professionalism. They use a very large national law firm to handle the paperwork.
This is our first resale purchase-our first two additional purchases were BWV add-ons to our initial membership. We are very happy with our deal and looking foward to having a new home soon.:bounce:

Hey CLC!

Not only are we your neighbor at the BWV (having purchased through Jaki) but we live across the river from you in East Greenbush. Nice to see that someone from the other side of the Hudson has the good sense to buy at the BWV.

:D :D :D
Am closing on a BW contract with Jaki this week.
She and her son have been very helpful, friendly,
and professional.
And from the looks of things, I'm happy
to see I'm not alone.
I would definitely recommend her.

We called her about an OKW resale on a Sunday evening and left a message expecting to hear from her on Monday. She called back within the hour, we discussed options, made an offer that was accepted on Monday. We signed the contracts on Monday--and faxed them back. It closed in 3 weeks. Jaki is wonderful to work with. We'll definately buy from her again! :D :D
