Buying for Triplets?!

I hope I've placed this in the right thread! We just found out my sister and brother-in-law are expecting triplets in the summer of 2008 (two identical twins and one fraternal triplet)! I'm a 19-year-old first-time aunt, and none of us have ever dealt with more than one baby before. I'm going to Disney soon, and this is my question: when buying for more than one baby, do you buy x number of things, or can they share?

For instance, I definitely want to buy the babies some things while I'm away, but if I buy something such as clothes, should I only buy one and have them share, since they really won't know otherwise, or should I get three of everything? I know I can call and order more when I get home, and I definitely want to save precious suitcase space.

I know this isn't totally related to Disney vacationing, I just wanted to gather some opinions before I make the trek down!

I am the Aunt of twins, and I would buy them each a set. There is nothing cuter in my book, than two or more babies dressed in identical or very in similar items. As far as things like swings and such those things they can share.

Hint: Two things that have really helped my sister is these special bottles called Podee hands free bottles. They can be ordered online or I have seen them at Babies R Us. They are bottles with long straws hooked to the nipple. You can then place the bottle next to the baby and the nipple works like a regular one. The other thing was a Soothing Moments Glider. My niece and nephew (especially when newborn) just loved how they were like in a little nest. They were able to sleep in there better than in a crib or bassinet. The glider goes back and forth like a swing or side to side and it has the ability to play music too. Mom and Dad can also choose the speed. There are also strollers out there that are great for triplets. My sister also has another child who hadn't turned two yet when the twins were born. Grandpa found this stroller called the "Triple Decker". It allows for three car seats to click onto the stroller and folds up and moves very easilly. The only downside is when the kids grow out of the infant car seats, you have to buy these seats that are actually child bike seats, but for the price of the stroller it is well worth it for three babies.

Congratulations and enjoy those little ones. They grow so fast. Our twins just celebrated their first year birthday. It went so fast.

I am a mom of BBG triplets. They are 6 now and I rarely ever dressed them alike, unless someone bought them special outfits. I think Disney is a great place to get cute matching outfits!!..and as far as suitcase space, believe me the little outfits take up NO SPACE.
Good Luck and have a great time

If you want them to wear them soon after birth, trust me and buy both premie and newborn. I can almost guarentee that they will be small. Our twins were full term and still wore premie clothes for a few months.

I don't know about premie, but definately buy small...they can always be a little big...but that is just my opinion.

Thanks for all the advice! I do plan on buying each their own things now, as Christmas and my pay this week have been quite good to me. I also think it'd be adorable to see them all dressed in matching Disney stuff! My friends and boyfriend are driving up and back, and I'm flying and meeting them there. I figured if I have any souvenir spillover, they can cart it back home for me!

I do think they'll be very small. When they thought she was only having one baby she was due August 15th, but they say now that it's three she'll go sooner. She's only 5' 2" and was about 90 lbs., if that, so I'm just hoping everyone stays healthy so I can take the little ones to Disney in the spring/summer of 09!
