Buying DVC through Disney on your Disney Visa

Is there any promotion currently that will allow us to buy our DVC purchase on the Disney Rewards Visa. Does this mean we get reward points? Our Credit Limit is enough, I just don't know if this qualifies as six month free like the vacations. Anyone know how I can find out?? Thanks!!!

Oh and for those of you who bought through Disney, how does it work. If we purchase tomorrow to get in before the increase, can I just put a down payment on my card and then pay off in a certain amount of time. Should we just go through the credit with Disney until our Refinace goes through. It will take about a month to get the refi done through our credit union. SO trying to decide how to do the Disney sale before then. Any one have some suggestions. Thanks so much!!

We put our down payment on our Disney Visa last week by phone. We are waiting for the paper work from DVC at the moment. I'm also waiting to see how the charge goes through on my next statement. It has appeared online, but I'm not sure how to tell if, and to what extent, it got put in the 0% for 6 months bucket until my next statement. If it's not right, I figure I'll call the Visa folks at that point.

Our guide said we would need to pay the balance in the next month or so and that we could pay the balance through our Disney Visa if we wanted at that point.

My understanding is that we get reward points for any charged amounts just like any other charges. I remember that there used to be a limited on the number of reward points you could get in a given year, which was one of the reasons that I waited until January, but when I called Disney Visa, the call center person indicated that restriction was eliminated.
