Buying Disney gift cards with a Target gift card?

We just got some groceries and the card. No other gift certificates. I have my receipt I plan to ask next time I am there.
Did the cashier tell you that you didn't get it or when you did the math, the 5% didn't match up to your total? I bought a card on Friday and I got my 5% off (and I made a large purchase of items in addition to the gift card and the 5% came off the entire total)

Each item had the price under it with the red card price to the right. The gift card had 50.00 in both places. I did try it online last night and it took off the 5%

Huh. Our Target just has the total discount at the bottom. Might have been something screwy with their registers. Very odd.

I haven't seen that, but I admit I haven't shopped in target in a few months (been doing store pickup). Only time I'd see stuff like that is Cartwheel discounts, or sale prices. Otherwise there should be a line at the bottom of the receipt that just has a 5% off total.

You keep referring to "the gift card" but you haven't clarified whether it was a Target GC or a third-party GC such as Disney or Starbucks.

I’m sorry it was a Disney card and when i looked today I realized it was not the price under the item. A poster pointed it out that it was at the bottom of the receipt. I did get the 5% off
