Buying DAH tickets with AP discount question

Does anyone know or have experience with purchasing DAH tickets while holding a current annual pass and getting the discount on a planned trip that is after the AP expires? Thanks!

Even though you have a valid AP now, I assume your pass would need to be valid for the date(s) you plan to buy DAH tickets for in order to get discount tickets.

Agreed.
To BUY the tickets getting an AP discount, the AP must be valid.
BUT...
If your AP has since expired AFTER you bough the DAH tickets, those tickets will still be valid for use at the gate.
That would be the case for buying other things while getting an AP discount (and those things would still be "good" after that AP had expired.)
There's no requirement to have an AP to go to a DAH event.
All you need is the DAH ticket.
The date you bought that DAH ticket is irrelevant.
