Buying at Vero??

We are going to Vero for the July 4th week...have never been there, but lived just south of there for years and years. Now own at BWV, paid in full, and think we want to buy at Vero and finance through Dis. Any word on what the rate is, what incentives now, and can we buy when there...seems like somewhere I read they don't sell at Vero anymore.
Anyone have this scoop for us?

Yes , VB is still available at MB's at $65 a point. The sales office there closed down a while back.Depending what state you live in, you can purchase over the phone Not sure what the finance rate is now though DVC. We purchased a cash add-on at VB 4 months ago.
I am sure Doc and others will help you more with the finance rates.

We added on through Disney and I know we paid more than that. It was at least 70 or 75. Did we make a mistake? What is MB? Thanks

MB is magical beginnings. It is a program where you sell your first years points back to Disney (and they rent them out as cash). They give you x $'s per point. In this case $10. I have seen it as high as $13 personally. The negative is of course, you can't use those points. The positive is the discount. Many people buy while on their vacation for the year, so it makes since to sell back since they won't be vacationing again until the next year.

MB is currently available on purchases of 50 points or more at VB and HH. You would lose the use of those points and would still pay prorated maintenance fees on them.

As already mentioned, MB is currently $10 per point.

I would call DVC and let them know you might be interested in doing a purchase at Vero when you are on vacation and ask them what your options would be. They might still have someone on staff who could handle the transaction. Rates and offers may be different by July so I'd follow up with a call closer to your actual trip to get that info.

Does anyone know how close VB is to selling out? I think I may want to add on here, but I don't want to be overly impulsive. I would rather stay there first, but our first stay at VB isn't until Sept '02. I don't want to miss the boat if I realy like it.

My vacation guide used to be based at Vero and we have become quite close. She told me that she doesn't think that Vero will sell out until sometime next year. Vero was predicted to sell out by the end of this year (fall?) but the sales have slowed do to the sales office closing and the guides being relocated to BW. I think you should be fine in Sept 02, but you never know.
