We are planning 2 trips to WDW this year - Feb.2nd - 9th and Nov. 22nd-29th, 2008. Should we purchase APs?
Family Layout:
2 Adults
1 Teenager (14 yr old)
2 Children (3 & 5 yr old)

I have figured it out and buying APs would save us about $400 - if I figured right??:confused3 Can I purchase them through MS or do I have to purchase them when we get to WDW? Any advice is appreciated:flower3: !

For the number of days you will be at WDW, annual passes seem reasonable. Especially if you tend to go the parks every day.

You can purchase them through the web or when you arrive at WDW. Make sure you have your DVC card and an id.:)

If you were to buy regular park passes (no park hopper/no water parks & more). It lists $1033 for 8 days. Since you would need them for both trips, you are talking about $2066 for both trips.

AP's would be $2148 if you are not DVC members. That drops to $1658 if you are DVC members.

We also have two trips planned in 2008 with my adult DD's and we found with the DVC discount, it is cheaper for us to buy the AP's.

We purchased our last ones at the MGM Guest Services. We just needed to show them our DVC membership cards when we bought them. We'll be doing the same thing for my adult DD's (who live at home while attending college). I've been told they'll have to show their drivers licenses to show they have the same address as us.

You might also consider buying the Disney Dining Experience card. It's like $65 with your AP. You then save 20% off table service meals, including alcohol, for a 13 month period. That could really add up over your two trips.

You can now buy them at guest services; I picked one up at Epcot when I enxhanged my AP voucher last week. They even let me charge it to my room. (It used to be a moderate hassle to secure with calling in advance etc.)

Another vote for the Disney Dining Experience. It is great! That 20% really adds up. You can buy your APs through member services. You can then pick them up at the parks.
