Buying APs at the Disney Store

Hi! Just wondering if anyone can share their experience buying APs from the Disney Store. I typically purchase our Disney tickets from the Disney Store at our local mall because I use a bunch of gift cards and it is easier to do it that was versus over the phone, and then I have the tickets in hand. This year I'm planning on buying APs and am curious what the process is if buying them at the Disney Store. Do you get a physical card, or a voucher, or what? I would still activate the AP at guest services or the ticket booth at the parks when I arrive, correct? Thanks!!

I tried to buy from the store many years ago. It was not a good experience at all. At the time the CM's working had never done an AP so they had to look it up in a big book. I don't even remember how it all went but it took a really long time & I think it ended up that I didn't even get anything from the store but had to wait for a voucher to come in the mail. Would have been much quicker for me to call Disney directly. For your sake I hope things have changed for the better. Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly I'm wondering if it will be better to just do it over the phone and read them all the gift card numbers...

Perhaps go to the Disney gift card site and combine the amounts onto one card. Then you don't have to read them as many numbers.
