Buying annual passes

After reading the information on the members site, I think that I can either pre-order and pre-pay for an annual pass and get a certificate and still have to go to guest relations to get the pass. OR I can go to guest relations and do everying then. Am I correct? I do not want to show up in May to buy an AP only to find out that I had to pre-order it. Is there any benefit to pre-ordering?

You can get it at any ticket window for the same price. The only benefit of pre-ordering is if you want to get the Disney Dining Experience Card early or if you want to spread out the cost.

I know DVC members get a $100 off adult AP and $85 off child's AP. It lists on the DVC member site the price of $295 for Adult and $251 for child. Has the $100 or $85 already been taken off these prices or would it be $195 and $166. I looked on the WDW site and the prices were the same $295 and $251. Could someone clarify for me.

The DDE is for AP holders and Florida residents. It offers 20% off of a ton of restaurants. It is $50. I have heard that it is taking 4-6 weeks to be delivered, I've also heard 6-8 weeks so I ordered mine exactly 8 weeks ahead to be safe.

No, it is good for up to parties of 10 people.

The $295/$251 prices have already had the discount applied to them. Those prices are quoted without tax however. The actual price you will pay including tax will be $314.18 adult and $267.32 child.

Compare that to the regular non-DVC AP at $420.68 and $357.84 and you can see what a great deal DVC members have on this.

Just to clarify, I'm pretty sure that anyone can buy the DDE, but AP holders and FL residents get a discount.
