Buying Annual Pass

Anyone able to offer any advice please? I recently purchased my husband a Signature Annual Pass on the Disneyland website from Australia. All I've received is a receipt thing? Is that what I show them on our first day at the parks? Thanks!

We did this earlier this year. That is all you need. Take the reciepts and your photo ID (they accepted our Australian Drivers Licence) and you swap the receipt at the ticket window for the AP. When you enter the parks the first time, they will take your identification photo.

That's wrong. They should start and expire on the same day of the year. If you're going to be there on the 27th next year then you should write to them and get it corrected.
No, they're good for 365 days. That's the 6/27th through the 6/26th. I'm fine with that.

That's not the case. They've been giving the extra day for at least the 15 years I've had an AP. I have an AP, members of my family have had them, my closest friends have them. I've been there when they've bought them, renewed them, let them lapse, spent their last day in the park. It always expires on the same day you originally bought it, even in a leap year.

We first entered the parks on 6/27 with five-day PHs. We upgraded to APs as we were leaving on our last day, 7/1 (yes, I know. I wanted to upgrade them day two right after we used our MM, but the DH took some convincing. We got exactly ZERO discount use out of them on that trip. I paid full-price for my Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and didn't have to.) Our APs expire a year from the day BEFORE we first used our tickets, 6/26. Officially, they run 6/27/16-6/26/17.

Disney is shorting you a day. Your pass should be valid through 6/27/2017.

Well, I live in Phoenix. The likelihood that I'm going to be there on 6/27/17 is slim to none, so I'm not going to fuss about it.

LOL! Yeah, it only matters if you'll actually be there on that day or renew them for a following year and want the end date for the following year to be one day later just in case.

The last trip we took was in May 2015, our passes were activated on different dates in June 2014 (DH and I went for our anniversary, but the kids didn't go until the end of the month). It didn't matter that our passes expired on different days because we went several weeks before any of them expired.

When we go next year we'll activate them on either Sunday or Monday June 18 or 19. So they should expire then, but we'll be going the previous week the following year, so the expiration date doesn't matter as far as whether we choose to start our passes on the 18 or 19 since we don't plan to be there the following year on those dates.

I bought my nieces pass on 9/11/15 and it expires on 9/11/16. I double checked because we are going the 8th - 11th next month!
