Buying and financing DVC resale..lessons learned & who NOT to use

I'm very excited to share my good news!! I'm FINALLY going to be a DVC owner again!!!! I lost my treasured DVC points in a divorce 7 years ago and finally found myself in a good financial situation to get some more!!

I'm very knowledgeable about DVC being a former CM and DVC member but buying resale had me asking questions and seeking outlets of information that I thought I would share.

The most important tip I would share is to NEVER EVER use timesharelending. In short, the absolute most abrasive and insulting person I've ever dealt with. I ended up going with Monera and paying a slightly higher interest rate. Monera Financial has been outstanding!! Hard lesson learned, but very thankful I learned before committing.

I also highly recommend the timeshare store and, DVCsales (Mark). Both were very helpful and patient with me.

My journey was exciting then stressful then exciting again thanks to the great companies I worked with.

Very proud to be a DVC member again soon!!! Thanks for letting me share my excitement!!!

No worries, I'm very happy to be able to save someone the horrible experience I had! That said, I shrugged it off and decided not to let it dampen the experience for me. This was a big decision for me, and VERY exciting! I wanted to work with someone who valued me and genuinely wanted to help and found them! One bad apple shouldn't make this exciting time a burden. Hope you find just the right fit for you too

I dealt with them too, man they sure can talk down to you. At the end of the contract, something clicked and their attitude changed tremendously.

Exactly!!! Treated me like I'm supposed to have a license buying timeshares. I literally gave up a contract ONLY to avoid working with them. Sure glad I did!! Do not and would not recommend them for any reason. But very glad it turned out well for you!!

I'm going with Monera now...talk about a polar different experience!! They are awesome!!! I chose the lowest loan amount for the lowest interest of 9.9% which I chose 3 years to pay off.

I may choose a higher rate for a lower monthly payment and just triple the payment. Not sure which yet but the options are available for whatever suits your needs. Monera has been simply OUTSTANDING and EASY to work with. Encourage questions and unbelievably helpful. Highest recommendation!! Hope that helps.

Glad it worked out for you. Thank you so much for the advice. Mark was my guide at Disney back in 1998. When I buy my next DVC resale I will be using DVCSALES (Mark) and if I need financing I will check into Monera Financial.
