buying a phone at Costco?

Cell phone? If I buy a Verizon phone from Costco- is it like buying it from a kiosk? In other words will there be seperate "contract termination fees" ect.. like from a mall kiosk. Or is it like I am in Verizon buying from a Verizon guy? The reason I am confused is the phone is about $70 cheaper from Costco. So I am thinking there must be some catch.

Costco prices are always lower than other retailers. You could ask them about the termination fees. But knowing costco, they are not likely to impose hidden fees on you. If there is any, they should tell you upfront.

The Verizon booth at BJ's is staffed by Verizon people and there is a regular contract you sign with termination fees. I always supposed that the Costco booth is the same way.

I have an usb modem thngie I bought at costco and other than intial rebate stuff ( can't remember details ) I have a verizon contract as if I'd bought from verizon store.

There are the usual termination fees if you buy from Costco but you save with the phones since they are usually cheaper and you don't pay an activation fee, either. I just got my 3rd one from Costco. It was seamless and I always go there to get my phones.

Very similar experience. My exact phone at the Verizon store was $78 more than at Costco + no activation. One of the benefits of being a member. All of my interactions after the fact have been direct with Verizon.
