Buying a new watch...stupid question but need an answer!!

Went out shopping for a watch today with no success. My mom got a Buluva one for Christmas last year and her's seems to open all the way up so you could almost lay it flat compared to mine witch stays attached at all times. What is the name of this type of band...i want to look for one online but i dont know what to call it and its driving me nuts...its like looking up a word in the dictionary that you cant spell, how can you find it if you cant spell it in the first place..eerrghhh..help!!
