Buying a new car. Deposit on cc for rewards?

The dealer is paying about 2.7% in fees when you use a credit card. Are your rewards worth more than that? If they let you charge it, then you paid too much for the car.

Depends on the card. Some rewards cards hit the merchant with fees of up to 10%.

I'm actually looking at several cars right now and am in no rush, just want to make sure I don't miss an opportunity to earn some rewards.
