I am supposed to close on my house in two weeks, and today the lender sent a package to my parents' house (even though they have my current address and sent things here.) It was typical legal mumbo jumbo and listed several things that they need 5 days before closing with no explanation of what they are. I'm getting so frustrated with this whole process. I feel like my lender is not talking to me at all or giving me the run around. I have e-mailed him several times and he never really answers my questions. And the amount of paper work has been ridiculous.
Even though I gave them my contract for my job, they had to have a statement saying it was irrevocable. That took over a week because the guy who does that stuff with my district was having surgery. He was flabbergasted that my contract wasn't enough. Now I have to have some kind of letter of explanation from my four previous employers, but one of them the business is no longer owned by the same people who have since moved out of state. They have my W-2s. The other one is my Campus Rep "job" which isn't even really a job and I don't know that Disney will do that for me. I don't get why the W-2's were not enough and I don't know that I'm going to be able to get those letters on time, particularly the Disney one.
I get that they had issues with people lying and that's one of the reasons we are in this mess, but my goodness. They have swung too far the other direction and it feels next to impossible to buy a house. I don't think I would be stressed out if my lender had actually answered my questions or at least explained what some of this stuff is and told us about it two weeks ago.
