Buying a Flex ticket, upgrading it from US ticket?

Hi, I see US will let you upgrade a pass the way Disney will--charge you the difference between the face value of the two tickets as long as the one you're upgrading isn't expired, right?

So, I can get some tickets for US through a loyalty program. Can I then upgrade them in Orlando to a Flex pass? The Flex pass is not just a US "product", not even sure if Universal sells them directly. (I was planning on ordering through Undercovertourist, but obviously not if I'm going to upgrade base tickets.)

Thanks for any feedback you can provide...

Since the FlexPass isn't a Universal ticket, I don't think you would be able to upgrade but you will need to call Guest Services to make sure.
