Buying a Disney Purse

I have a D&B hand me down bag. It has held up well. It's definitely not in this woman's budget though. I know more than about $60 isn't gonna fly. Lol

But it's okay. I just wanna hold Disney everyday. That's why I would like to buy it in WDW, as opposed to online.

I just told my kids we were going back!!!!! So today is going well!!!!!

I should have bought one of these last trip! I regretted it when I saw a lady at Golden Corral with one lol! I just HAD to tell her I loved her bag. She had on a Disney hat too. It was awesome. I was in my WDW tshirt so felt like I'd met someone who understood haha!

This is an old thread but I thought I would go ahead and respond. This sounds like me! I often find myself making conversation with people at home with Disney stuff just to get my Disney fix!

Today, I bought a Disney purse online, a Vera Bradley for 80.00. It is a bit pricey for me. I usually spend about forty dollars on a purse. I like the color and design. Over the years, I have bought a total of four Disney purses/totes so this will be my fifth.

For anyone tempted by the Loungefly purses/wallets/coin purses in the form of BB8, RsD2, Darth, etc...check the prices on loungefly.com itself or even amazon.com. MUCH better prices than Disneyland, at the very least. (even with my AP discount)

(I'm assuming they are selling those purses at WDW since they were at DL.)

I bought an Aulani D&B when we stayed there and now I'm hooked. I have a princess cameo D&B as well as multiple Disney Vera Bradley bags. I find that the Vera hipsters are perfect for me for a day in the parks.

I agree the Vera hipsters is a great bag for the parks. Mine is just on of the clearanced prints. The price was right and I love the size. I also want purses with zippers. I like knowing my stuff is secure and won't fall out of an open bag.

I have been wanting a Vera Bradley Disney bag foreeevvveeeer!

When they first came out, we were so excited...headed over to Downtown Disney the night we arrived only to find they had none.

Last couple of years I saw more of them, especially at Epcot and HS.

Does anyone know if they still carry Vera Bradley Just Mousing Around (pink pattern) in the parks?

We are going in March.

I was tempted to buy one on Ebay and probably should have. The prices seem to have shot up.

I have seen sales on Disney Store periodically, but I was afraid of placement being bad.

I asked Disney Store if the purse could be returned if I did not like the placement and it seems like they gave me a crazy answer, so I did not buy sight unseen.

Please let me know what is available in the parks currently!! Thanks everyone.

BTW, saw the red Mickey bag posted above on a lady in the mall just yesterday.

Pretty cute, love the red!!

Hipster is a little big, but not too big for the parks.

My daughter uses the mini hipster/autograph book fits well in it.

Don't know if I would use the red Mickey in the parks, but would love it for after!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I am getting excited about doing some Disney shopping!!!!

Happy shopping!

I agree, the red Mickey print Vera Bradley bag is not one I plan to use in the parks. It is one that I will use at home or possible for a dinner at a resort while at Disney. For a park bag, I need more pockets, etc.

I am super frugal with purses. Try to never go over $30 and I only ever own one at a time...and they last me about 4 years.

Anyway, perusing DisneyStore.com yesterday and came across this..

http://www.disneystore.com/star-wars-stormtrooper-tote-by-loungefly/mp/1392004/1000291/

And fell in love. Showed it to my husband who instantly loved it and told me to get it for myself. So, early birthday present!!

I have NEVER been one to carry a purse with a character on it. Hate clothes/jewelry with characters, etc.

But I LOOOOVE the looks of this. So, we will see how it goes when I get it! Happy early 38th to me!

Op I got that one a couple years who. Broke before we were back home. When I called to see a replacemt they indicated I was not alone. I chose to return it for a full refund instead. Hoping they've made the clasps better since then!

I bought the same bag the OP has 2 years ago at WDW. The strap has now frayed to the point it is broken. How do I go about getting a replacement? Should I bring it with me to WDW when we go in May? I got it at a resort shop.

I think my traditional souvenir at Disney is going to be a purse! I love it, I can carry everywhere I go. I got one for about $30-40 at World of Disney and I'm in love with it!

I do not want to go to DTD this trip. What gift shops sell cute purses?

This is what I bought last time!

Thanks for any help!
Oooooh! I have the wallet in that collection. I get comments on it all the time. :-) And yes, I agree with POOHsie, the Emporium is where I got it. They had a big selection when I was there. :-) But for purses I went with the Haunted Mansion purple and black lace one.

I did not see that pattern during my last trip in November. I was hoping that they would still have the Where's Mickey pattern, but they didn't. Seems like they are gone since the laser cut, Mickey Meets Birdie, and Preppy Polly were introduced.

I have a Disney Vera Bradley backpack which I am obsessed with!! It was a bit pricey but I was a cm at the time and had a discount. I now can't imagine life without it lol!

I got this purse last May from the little store right when you walk into the world showcase. It was one for the Flower & Garden festival. I love it and I get a lot of compliments on it :flower1:

I just got my tax refund, so I decided to blow a chunk of it on a few different Vera Bradley hipster bags (not the mini) before the CM 40% holiday discount ends. I already had one... Now I have four. :cool1:

My wife bought 2 more VB purses and a computer tablet case. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :love2:

I picked up a D & B on the Fantasy. :) I have wanted one since cruise one and I finally gave in when they gave us the 200.00 on board credit last week.

I think I will pick up a Vera Bradley when I am at DS on Thursday. They are really cool too and I sort of like a cloth bag.

I forget the name of the Jewelry shop on Main st, but they usually carry Vera Bradley.

So does Mousegears in Epcot.

Also there is a shop as you head up the street to Tower of Terror in HS.

They seemed to be more readily available last year than in previous years. There were patterns that I thought would be a one time thing, that were still available, just not Mousing Around.

Check out Disney Parks blog and look at the Steve Miller video about merch for Flower and Garden Festival. Dooney Bourke has 3 bags with Figment featured on them!!! Really cute, blue color.

So instead of doing Pandora, I may have to put it all toward a purse this year.

You know how it goes when you see something and then get back home and wish you'd bought it.

The trouble with the VB bags is it is hard to buy them sight unseen. Placement is everything.

And although I have not had too much bad luck buying things on Ebay, not sure I would want to do a VB Disney purse thru them.

Look up the Disneyland/Disney World cross body on Disney Store site. Kind of a small crossbody. Just darling. They were doing a buy one, get a $29 value cosmetic bag deal.

Not sure I want to pay that much, but darn are they cute!!!! I think it is so neat that they have the two park versions.
