Buy tickets early or wait for discounts

So we go in January, should we buy the tickets early or wait to see if they offer any kind of discount or promotion. (being it is January and it is a slow time)

We are retning points from an owner and not going through Disney, would we even be eligeble for a discount or promotion on tickets?

You wouldn't be eligible for any Disney promotions that require a reservation. You could purchase tickets from a reseller for a cheaper price than Disney if you found them.

When are you going in January. The first two weeks are not all that slow.
