Buy park hoppers or renew Dvc AP?

I have looked thru some posts and cannot seem to find the answer.

I have a dvc annual pass that's about to expire and I am trying to decide if I should renew or just buy 5 day park hoppers for a trip planned for December. No plans to visit again until 2016.
What is the cost to renew? Just a regular AP not a premium pass.

Does not include the current promo for a new DVC PAP for $484 plus tax which must be purchased by 4/30/2014 and activated by 1/31/2015.
