Buy OKW direct from DVC?

I am wondering about buying points directly. . . say August, September or December use year. . . I assume I would receive a full allotment of 2007 points. . . would I also get any for 2006?

As far as whether you'd get 2006 points, it would probably depend upon what use year you actually purchased. As long as the use year had not yet begun at the time of your closing, yes, you would probably receive 2006 points. As far whether they have OKW points available...that is hit and miss. I depends upon if they have any OKW points from ROFR contracts or defaulted loans.

While it is usually easier to buy directly from Disney, and you close faster, and normally have easier financing, it would almost certainly be less expensive to go through a broker, if you want to wait for the contract to pass ROFR and closing.

Last I checked with my guide, Disney had lots of OKW points. We bought resale at OKW and have loved it!
