Hello, I need some advice, I didn´t buy this time a dining plan, so..no mug. I just need soda. Will it be better if I buy the refillable mug or should I ask Garden Grocer for it?. I dont know how far is the refillable station on the Boardwalk Inn. Any informtion will be appreciated.

Garden Grocer has a $40 minimum order. If soda is all you want a mug is probably better. The refill station is outside on the Boardwalk

Although I was not happy with the dining options at Boardwalk, the refillable mug station was not too far from the “center” of the resort. Compared to moderates where you may have to walk a couple miles, Lol it wasn’t far at all. There is also a bar off the lobby that you can get your mug filled at when they are open. On a side note....the iced tea does not require a chipped cup to operate.

Thanks for the input:)

How much time are you planning on staying at your resort? We went with younger kids and knew we would not be at the parks all day. (So kids what ride would you like next? The pool! The pool!) We also figured we'd be eating 1/4 of our meals at the resort. The refillable mugs worked well for us, even without the dining plan.

Also, are you a Coke or Pepsi product drinker? There are no refillable mug Pepsi product options. Depending on how strong your loyalties are this may be the deciding factor.

It is 3 of us, all adults, and we are all day park hoppers kind of girls, so my worries are, when we can arrive midday to rest a little , and at night, at closing time. We like Coke Zero:duck:

I'd just order it from Amazon Prime Now. They carry coke zero. 2 hour shipping is free with 35 dollar purchase, or 5 bucks if under that.

Garden Grocer is great and we use them for our large grocery heavy orders, but Amazon Prime now is awesome for a mid trip restock or grabbing a few things.

Oh, that is so good to know....! I am going to check on that....

We did the mugs, and also ordered snacks and drinks from Amazon Prime Now!! Those mugs are super small, and not worth the walk to get a refill late at night.

Agreed, the volume of the mugs is ludicrous, I like my drinks cold, by the time you fill with ice you can maybe get 10oz of liquid in there? Not worth the hassle. We just stock up on drinks in the room.

how many minutes walking? is the gas station very far, for carrying a bag with soda? like 12 cans ?

Do you have a suitcase with wheels or a luggage cart? That makes bringing back snacks and soda super easy. Otherwise the entrance to the convenience store is across fro the entrance to the Boardwalk, and I would calculate it to be close the same distance from the lobby as the entrance to Epcot is.

From the Boardwalk it's a short walk to the Speedway gas station across the street. You can buy soda there.

If you are a soda drinker (sounds like you are) then this is what I'd do. I don't mind spending on vacations, but if I drank soda $2.50 a pop seems silly at the resorts or in the parks. It's bad enough I spend like $10 a beer at Epcot! Think one trip we spent a good $100 on drinks one day at Epcot.

That´s a lot of money for sodas:scared:,definitely I will go to the Speedway gas station with my small carry on with wheels, it would look funny, but I think is the way to go.

I know this is old now, but the gas station was closed and and appeared to be under construction when I was there mid November. I planned on walking over and getting a few things. Not sur when they are reopening.

I was at the Boardwalk from 12/5 - 12/11 and the gas station was back open. :flower1:
