Buy AP 1st??

I called to get AP rates on WL and they weren't out for the time I wanted yet, but the CM said when the rates do come out that I have to have my AP # to even get the AP hotel rate from them!?! Is this really true??

Then how can I decide if I want to get the AP- which will depend on how good the AP resort rate is for 7/8 nights??? I will be deciding between the rate and savings with the AP resort rate vs. AAA discount with the whole package. Is it just a given that the AP rate will be better? but what if my dates aren't available - I don't want to have to buy a AP just to get the rates if I am not sure. Help does anyone have suggestions of what I should be doing??? Do I really have to buy the AP before I get the resort rates????

I have never been asked for my AP number when booking an AP rate. Never. I just needed to show it when checking in.

Call again, it is almost a guarantee that a different CM will tell you that you don't need it.

You need it for online stuff.
But you don't need it for phone things.
