touringplans.com is saying the buy 4 get 7 deal will be announced next week for 2010!!!!!

This is what touringplans.com is reporting:

Details are still being worked out, but we’ve heard from multiple, usually-reliable sources that Disney’s Buy-4-Get-7 deal will return next week. The announcement may be made as early as Monday, but could be as late as Thursday. Value resorts will have a slightly different “Buy-5-Get-2″ deal. Travel dates, we hear, could be Ocotber 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010. Book by December 20, 2009 (we think that’ll be extended). And you must purchase Magic Your Way tickets to match the number of nights of your stay.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, in particular the announcement dates

I love the take it with a grain of salt, but I hope its right, we are starting to plan our next trip, July 2010, to the world, and if a 4/3 deal is extended throught july like this past year, we could afford a longer stay or higher level resort:banana:

That might make my January travel plans a reality! I really wanted to do a week at the Poly and this might make it possible!

Ugg, This is new...right??? Last year I was able to get this deal, but only had to buy one day passes. I guess this will not be an especially good deal for those of us who don't want to fork out the extra for the length of stay ticket since we've already purchased AP's for the year. I know we can use it towards next year's AP but I want to save $$$ this year. Guess the AP rate will still be my best bet.

We did the 4/3 this year and purchased the full 7 day ticket with our package (or maybe 8), BUT we were fortunate - our APs were expiring the day after we arrived. So we just used our package tickets to renew our APs. That actually worked out well - between having the tickets from the 4/3 already and our DVC discount and the fact that it was a renewal, we didn't have to pay much OOP at all.

:banana::banana: Woohoo! I told DH we need to sit down and finally decide where we want to stay in January so I can book it if/as soon as this deal comes out!

Wish it was running until May :(

Me too!

I am hoping that they mean if you book for dates until March 31 you get the $200 GC, but dates will extend beyond that. I want to book already but I need to get some kind of deal to make sure we can really aford it!

Wow, if this ends up being true then it'll be a real slap in the face to AP holders.

Stupid question.....
how does that work?
Does that mean you pay for 4 days and get an extra 3 for free...
does that included the extra 3 day meal plan/park tickets???
Or do you have to pay that on top of it???
Sorry..never booked under any promo before..just booked and paid the price we were told...lol

I have a feeling that they have it figured out so that it will be the same %age savings as the AP rate. This seems to be to be the trend don't you think? The $200 Gift Card was the only thing that made the 4/3 deal a slightly better value than the AP rate last year...for the mods anyway which is what I booked.

The part that will be a slap in the face to AP holders is the part about having to get tickets for the entire length of stay in order to get the deal. Right now, AP holders typically get 1 day passes to save money on package deals.

I don't know what the AP rates will be like at that same time or how they historically compare. I do hope that for AP holders Disney does give an AP discount that is comparable. I'm not an AP holder so it doesn't make a difference to me, but I do feel that it's the right thing to do for people who go more often like AP holders tend to do.

Personally, I don't know that I'll ever get an AP just because it seems like all the deals that interest me involve packages so I'll always have to buy the MYW tickets anyway.

Oh, I realize that but I guess what I'm saying is that the 4/3 deal without the gift card is basically just a room discount (as we all know the ticket savings doesn't amout to much) so an AP holder will, in the end, get about the same deal. Now... whether or not they should get a better deal is another debate. Personally, I think anyone going to Disney several times a year should get a better deal. No flames please just my opinion.
