Buy 4/Get 3 Coming Soon?

Something very interesting is going on. If I link to special offers down at the bottom of the main Walt Disney World webpage, it takes me to the special offers page, with a banner at the top that tallks about the $750 gift card. However, if I click on the special offers link on my Blackberry or my iTouch, it takes me to the same page, but the banner at the top of the page is different. This banner says, and I quote, "It's Time to Snap Up a Great Deal! Get 2 more when you Buy 5, or...Get 3 more FREE when you Buy 4." The banner has a pic of the Crocodile chasing Hook and Smee in their little row boat. However, there is no link to click on or anything. What do you all think? Is this a teaser? Did someone mess up? Why does it show up on Blackberry/iTouch but not on my desktop computer? Do you think this is a deal that is coming soon? I am anxious because unless we get a REALLY good deal this year, my husband is not going to ok another trip. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Hoping for the same thing. I think someone said that March is usually the time when the Summer promotions pop up, but who knows?

Thats really weird. But I don't think that it will be a deal coming out. Since it was one already. Maybe your black berry is picking it up from the past? I know with my computer, someimtes if cookies aren;t cleared it will show past stuff on different sites.

No, you can't book that anymore, it ended in Dec. The stays are for now, but the actual deal is over and no longer can be booked.

Most likely, it's a technical glitch from the old offer. HOPEFULLY, though, it will pop back up. Not that we have plans to go to WDW this year--looing at DL instead. Can't completely skip Disney now, can we?

I saw the banner last week on the special offers page on my laptop @ home last week. I ran as fast as I could ( or as fast as my fingers could type) to disboards to see what was going on.

ANyway, I guess it won't matter to us. We booked 5 days/nights at ASMU family suites with PIN for free QSDP. That seems to work out cheaper for us than buy 4/stay 7. For the same 7 night stay, free QSDP is $3015. The 4/7 deal is $2600 and doesn't include food. SO we'd have to eat for $400 or less, all 6 of us, to break even.

Unless my math is waaaaaay off.

Did the 4/7 include dining? If it does include QSDP (buy 4 get 7), it would be $2948 for all of us so THAT would save us a little ($60). But otherwise, it MAY not be the best deal out there.

That was the same graphic in Dec when the current offer was being booked. I remember, I was going back on the site daily to check if it was extended until we got our pin offer.

I was just on Disney's website and the same banner came up!! I was so excited at first, but then there was NO place to Click for the offer.

Boy I could use some type of offer for the end of June!!

I was so excited that my DH's email had a Disney Destinations email this morning.....I was so nervous to open it. But it was only a welcome to the Disney Account I had opened for him the day before I could have cried!!!

I wish I could have. The banner goes off for a while and then seems to come back on a whim. I even asked a Disney Travel castmember about it who said it's a technical error.

I know what you mean about getting excited over an email. I've been getting emails from Disney Movie Club or Disney Rewards and every time, I think it's going to be a pin. Alas! No pin for me!

I'm pretty sure it's just a technical error. We clear our cookies and defragment all the time in this house (because of what some of ds's online games do to the PC -- e.g. ToonTown) and I've never seen that -- just the current offers.

HOWEVER, at work (where I don't clear cookies, temporary internet files, etc. as often), I've seen the ad and then nothing is there when you click it. I'm sure next time I clear everything out, I won't see it. Wishful thinking that it's something "in the works", but I really don't think so. That's not to say they won't offer that again later this year, I just don't think that's what the situation is right now with what you're seeing.

The 4/7 did not include dining... you had to pay full price for the dining over the 7 nights... which gets pricey! Your math looked right now, so I bet the QSDP is the better deal for you. Did you ask if you could upgrade it to the DDP for the price difference? I know last year during the Nov./Dec. free dining (when the values got the QSDP) you could (I had several clients who did). It wasn't as good as the DDP for free, but it still saved a lot of money!

Thanks for the idea...I ran the math, and it would cost only about $275 for my crew to upgrade. EXCEPT that we'd then have to add tips, which we figure would add another $120 or so. So really, about a $400 increase. Total cost a little over $3400 instead of $3000, for a 5 night trip. Gotta keep the bottom line as low as possible.
