Buy 2, Get 3 Free to AP - Real Experiences

Has anyone actually upgraded the buy 2, get 3 to an AP? What value did they give you for it? I called Universal and they said that sometimes you get what you paid for it (or what you would have paid Universal for it if you had bought through them) and sometimes you get the 5 day price. Slightly vague and I'm trying to figure it out with a reasonable degree of certainty.

I got the price I paid for it, basically the two day price. I did not get the five day price, otherwise Universal would have owed me money! The guest services person I worked with at the park was super helpful showing me the calculations and such as we were upgrading one pass to premium but the rest to power.
