Can you just ask for the "honorary Citizen" button? Or is it given to you? I have all the other buttons. Except .. the just married.. As I am going to get that one AFTER I get married. the Honorary Citizen is all I will be missing.

City Hall will not give out buttons that are given for certain events. The Honorary Citizen button can only be obtained by attending Toontown Morning Madness. DH and I witnessed someone in City Hall asking for the Toontown Morning Madness Honorary Citizen button and they were told that they could only get it by attending the event.

Toontown Honorary Citizen buttons are only given out if you attend TTMM. However, I think the OP was asking about the purple ones that say "Honorary Citizen of DL". We received these on my last trip after we reported a couple of very nice CMs. But I'm sure if you just ask, they will give one to you. We saw a little girl get a birthday button for her stuffed animal once.

We received our Honorary Citizen buttons during EE one day. We were the first ones on Mr. Toad that morning. However, DH and DS went on Mr. Toad later during EE, and they also received them! Not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to it all!!

I went to City Hall to get myself a birthday button, I mentioned that we had our 2 year old. She asked if it was his first time there, and I said that it was his second, but the first time he was one and didn't remember it. She handed over an honorary citizen button without my asking for it (or even knowing it existed).

My wife was given one just for asking at the tour kiosk. I have seen people given the Honorary Citizen button at City Hall. Don't know about toontown, we will find out in December

I got an Honoray Citizen button from a CM at City Hall last year just because I told her I hadn' t been to DL since '83. Pretty cool!

This year, I should tell her that again or I could say "Well, I haven't been here since last October-- is that good enough?"
