Are there lots of benchs or places to sit around the parks? The reason I am asking is because I had Bunions surgery in April but my healing time has taken 6 weeks longer since my 3 yr old fell on my foot twice(fell on it got up and feel again causing the bone to shift slightly...OUCH!) So I am 6 weeks behind in my walking that I so wanted to start :lmao:

But seriously, I have 7 months to get ready but want to know ahead of time if there are plenty of benchs or other places to sit and rest the old foot once in a while??

Thanks!

Lori

You can always find a place to rest...benches, counter service resteraunts, shows in the parks, Tom Sawyer Island, a lot of the rides even take a good amount of time giving you a chance to rest after you've waited in line to get on.

You'll have no problems finding a place. :thumbsup2

hall of presidents is great and ac you can sit there for a while :happytv:

Get some Crocs!!

I love to set on top of the train station, we love to "people watch" and facing the castle isn't bad too! If you're there at 5:00 pm you can catch a service-member take the flag down.

You will find plenty of places to relax.

Have you seen the free vacation-planning "Magical Gatherings" dvd? It's a couple years old, so probably isn't available anymore, but there's a guy named "Dave" on it who likes to devote much of his time to "recreation," aka, "butt-planting." After seeing that dvd, we know call my dh "Dave" whenever we talk about our WDW.

Anyway, one of his favorite butt-planting stations is just inside the entrance to the MK. There's a big porch with rocking chairs that are almost always empty. It's where he usually waits to meet the kids and I after we do our EMH morning insanity tour.

At MGM, there are tons of benches around "the big hat." It's also pretty centrally located, if you're waiting to meet up with others. I also like the half-wall in between ToT and RnRC, because you get to watch people racing back and forth between the two.

At AK, there are several trails leading up to and around the Tree of Life. There are not only a few hidden benches, but one or two are even by a waterfall.

Can't help too much at Epcot, because dh is an HP employee, so he usually ends up in the HP employee lounge at Mission: Space. But there really are tons of benches everywhere, in every park, particularly at the exits to some of the "scarier" attractions, since Disney knows parties often split up for those attractions and inevitably need a convenient place to meet up again. Some of them even have play areas for toddlers (so they can find something to do to amuse themselves besides crushing their parents' post-surgical feet)!

Good luck with the rest of your recovery!

I love to people watch.....it's a strange habit but I can't help it. I usually end up helping people because I notice they need it!

The area around the train station has plenty of seats, but tends to get congested.

My personal favorite place to sit and people watch is

A. The benches around the Crystal Palace,
B. The benches in Adventure Land.
