I see it on the menu at prime time and sci fi....what is butcher steak? Has anyone tried it recently and what do you think?
thanks

I honestly think they use that term so they can use whatever cut is the best priced for them. Out of all the steaks I had, the one I got at 50's PT was the worst. It could have just been I got a bad piece of meat. It was full of connective tissue and thin so it overcooked. I was too hungry to send it back (and I'm not blaming that on the restaurant at all, I could have sent it back but I chose not to) I ate some of it, but I wouldn't get it again only because it doesn't specifically say "sirloin" or "strip steak" so I'm not sure what I'm actually getting. My steaks at Artist Point (buffalo), Flying Fish and Coral Reef were WAAAAAAY better.

I don't think anything is foolproof. I've been there 3 times, had fried chicken the first 2 and the steak the last time. The first time I had the chicken, it was awesome, nice and juicy and crispy. The second time I had it, and again I could have sent it back, it was all crisp and no chicken. They were the A cup of the chicken world because there was barely any meat on them. I got a little meat off the chicken but it took a lot effort and was overdone because it was so thin.
