But I twy, but I twy . . .

Oh, and I think the folks who turned off Mick's mic at the end of "Start Me Up" and "Rough Justice" were responsible for distorting his words . . . ;)

Me too!! :rotfl2: I said to DH, is he really singing "twy?" OMG, that's so funny. I thought it was just me. Maybe his dentures were slipping??

I couldn't believe it either! I said to my DD6, 'doesn't it sound like he is singing but I twy?' she giggled and agreed with me!
I said the same thing about dentures!

..I mean, would you rather see, I mean hear Janet Jackson?

Speaking of.....what a difference a year makes.

That's fine, as long as they give away the comercials during halftime. I know I would be doing something else. In fact I loved it when other stations would air their own show during halftime.

It would also be better if they just stuck to the normal length of halftime and got on with the game.

ITA, they should drop all the halftime hype. People watch for the games, or the commercials...not the halftime show. I would agree with the marching band idea, but I don't think it really has a place in the pro games...keep it to the college games.

Especially on school nights, I wish they'd just play the game, and leave out the theatrics. Pro sports are theatrical enough.

OMG where did u get that pic? That's what she looks like now?

OMG, if Janet looks like *that* without wardrobe and makeup, then there's no hope for us regular folks!!!

I didn't catch all of the performance (thankfully). What I did catch made me shudder. They sounded horrible and could have ended their last song a good 3 minutes sooner...it really wasn't "going anywhere" and didn't really have that "big ending". To be honest, the crowd (other than the paid people out front) really looked bored! Although Mick is thin...I'm not sure I'd call him "in shape". Every time he lifted his arms up, the flabby skin under his arms made me cringe!
...I could go on, but I'm really trying to forget the whole mental image of it!

Hopefully others won't be as hard on you when you're almost 63 :teeth:

I think Mick Jagger looks like heck, but has great moves. I thought he was thin but not at all buff--I agree that his arms were all jiggly. I live in a very fitness-oriented city and I know LOTS and LOTS of 62 year old men in much better shape than him. I think Mick has gotten lazy with his workouts. ;)

Interesting, as time goes on, Janet looks more and more like a middle aged man and Michael is looking more like a middle aged woman.

Absolutely true...... :rotfl2:

How about they just show reruns of the Lawrence Welk Show on the Jumbotron...ah one...ah two......now for a snappy little number from Sissy and Bobby.....

I am SO glad other's heard "twy". My husband and I were :lmao: . I said "is he saying twy?!?" I thought their performance was horrible, but not nearly as bad as Aaron Neville's, that was downright unbearable! Aretha sounded a little better. Do they not have practices? I didn't hear Stevie Wonder. Was anyone here at the SB? I'm just wondering if the Stones sounded better in person.

I thought he sounded funny last night. My hubby was jammin' away. I think he may need his hearing check.

As far as Stevie--some chick started singing one of his songs and the first thing out of my mouth was "It's mo-town and where the heck is Stevie". Then they put the camera on him :confused3 .

All of the entertainment was very weird last night.

Though the Stones' stage was pretty cool.
