Hi
Planning on visiting DL for the first time last week of aug 06. Is it horrendously busy still at that time of year?. Been to WDW three times including July 4th (very busy). Also is it easy to go between the two parks?
Thanks for any help

Hi pjpuddle & welcome to the DIS :flower:

If the crowd trend continues through next summer as it has this year with the 50th Birthday Celebration, then I would say yes, the parks will be very crowded all summer - up through Labor Day. However, the long hours will give you a chance to go on your favorite attractions, especially if you plan on being at the parks right when they open.

Disneyland and California Adventure face each other, and it takes just a minute or two to cross to the other entrance. Sometimes there will be a long queue to get in, but that moves quickly.

Going between the parks is extremely easy since the park entrances are only a few hundred yards from eachother. It's an easy walk--takes all of a couple of minutes (less if you walk fast). DCA was built in what used to be DL's parking lot. As for the last week in August--I was there the Tuesday and Wednesday of the last week of August this year and the crowds were fairly low compared to what it had been like the rest of the summer (though nothing like the non-existant crowds that have been there during the week the last couple of weekedays I've been). Weekends were (and still are) crazy.
