Busy Week: week of 20th

I heard from one group and they said very crowded this past week:

I was surprised the parks were crowded...wait time for Disney
ran about 40 mins. Seaworld was really packed!

March is always pretty busy with spring breaks and stuff.

Left on the 19th, just got back...the crowds were actually really light when we were there. Most we waited was for Astro Orbiter, and that was about a half hour. Yesterday Epcot was D E A D. We walked right on several rides.

We just got back yesterday from WDW...stayed at POR. The resort was not that crowded, but the parks were crazy!!!! Waited in lines for hours to get on preferential rides...space mountain, splash mountain, Big Thuder Mountain, Tower of terror etc. etc. etc. Went last year in February, and never waited in line more than 10 minutes...longest wait for restuarants was at Boma (waited 45 minutes, and had a resrvation)...wait was worth it for this, the food and atmospshere was wonderful!!!! But.....will likely never go to WDW in March again, will either stick to February, or try August/September/October.

We had a great time regardless of the wait times/line ups for everything!

We stayed at POR too....we must have hit different parks on different days, because we didn't experience crowding much at all! Sorry that you did!

This was our second spring break trip. We always travel at busy times, so maybe we are used to crowds. With Fastplass and a Plan or 2 (we used TGM and the UOG), it seemed very manageable to us---we never waited more than 10 minutes for anything. But we did see early afternoon posted wait times of 70minutes for Space; 90 minutes for Soarin'. No way would we ever wait in that line!!!!

We were there 3/19 through 3/25 for our fourth Spring Break trip. The only day that was crowded was at Magic Kingdom on Friday (3/24) and it wasn't horribly packed. Of course, I intentionally planned each day for the park that wasn't the EMH-early park. The only way I've found that EMH-early works well is to hit the park at opening and ride all you can quickly and leave the park around 10:00 am to hop somewhere else. We're not big park hoppers. I will hop if I have to, but really like to stay in the same park all day if I can.

We went to MK on Monday (3/20), Dis-MGM on Tuesday, AK on Thursday, and MK on Friday. We did the Epcot EMH-late hours on Friday night and it was not bad except for the wait on Soarin' (fastpasses were gone for the night). The longest line we stood in all week was for Splash Mountain - standby was posted at 30 minutes but was more like 60 minutes.

I want to say that Expedition Everest is my favorite attraction now. The imaginears did an incredible job on everything with EE! It's a smooth, exciting ride! The Yeti part was not as scary as I had feared. I have a 6 year old dd and was worried about the scare factor. She loved it and rode it 2 times!

The highlight of my trip was seeing the lights on in Space Mountain! We were about 30 people back when it broke down and they flipped on the lights. That was incredible! I took several photos and was surprised they didn't say anything to me. We had ADRs to make, so we got out of line and they honored our FPs later on that night. I love Space Mtn, but EE is my new favorite roller coaster!

We had a game plan for the parks, but it was quickly changed. We basically did the same thing as(JessetheCowgirl) you did after about day 3, we went to the parks for the EMH, and then left to do other things, we utilized the fastpass as much as possible, and it really worked out well the day we went to Epcot, the MK and MGM on the days we went there were just really busy. Despite the busy-ness our familiy had a fabulous time, the weather was great high 80's, we left Canada and there was still snow on the ground, so the weather was a very welcoming factor. I guess we are just not crowd people, and the days we did MK and MGM there were very large crowds, we still managed to do the "big" rides we wanted to do...Splash Mountain ...Space Mountain...Rockin' Roller Coaster....Tower of Terror, and that was good, but I a not sure that we will attempted another Spring Break visit to WDW....We are actually looking at end of August or beginning of September next year.
We shall see what happens!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I think a lot of schools in WI are on Spring break last week and this week. I know my son was on college Spring Break from UW-Milwaukee and UW-Madison was on break too. Some local schools in our area were on break. I think many schools didn't want to wait till Easter-like our h.s. does.

Maybe Easter week won't be so nuts. Interesting to find out.
