That's one advantage of using a travel agent- they stay on hold for you.

I'd put it on speaker and stay on hold if I could. Just busy signal.

That is so ridiculous that there are only a few "early bird discounts" on each adventure. That really turns me off to ABD (along with the dynamic pricing.)

I got through after a few tries getting a busy signal then only had to wait on hold about 5 minutes.

How would you know if you got the discount? Are there discounts available on all of the trips including the cruise add-ons?

The trips that have the discount have an orange "price tag" and the words "Early Booking Special Offer" next to the dates on the Rates & Dates page. Although the website may not be up to date at this point, so I'd ask your TA or Vacationista.

Thanks. I see it now. The ABD website is blocked where I work, so I wasn't able to access it earlier to see them. I'm home now and see it on there. Feel silly for asking now. And it says the long weekends, river cruises, and DCL packages are excluded from it, so there's my answer.

Busy signal even at 5am. Finally tried the air concierge number and got through.

The early booking discounts were gone for South Africa July 7 (or 9, I've forgotten). So the price on the website even as of this morning was 7099 but the cost was 7499. I think it's ridiculous that I put up with this kind of thing but I have only myself to blame. I can't think of another company that I cut so much slack. The benefits still outweigh the frustrations--but they're getting close!

Just checked. It's July 7 and it's still listed at 7099.

Oh well. As I said, it's my choice to allow it.

Off to start researching South Africa...
