Busy in Oct?

If we go for a few days the week of Columbus Day. How busy could it be? Just 2-3 days starting Tuesday Oct 14. And we have a 3 year old and. 7 year old is the Halloween party worth it (if it's goin on this year while we are there)?

In general I would expect that the crowds won't be all that bad during your planned days. There might be slightly higher than "normal" crowds on Tuesday (spillover from the long weekend ), but in general Tues to Thur are fairly manageable.

If there is a Halloween party, I would guess it would be either Tuesday and/or Friday. I think the party is great, but a lot depends on your kids and how late you think they can manage. The party runs until either 11:00 pm or midnight, depending on the start time. There is trick-or-treating, character meet and greets, the Cavalcade, the fireworks, dance parties, etc. I recommend checking out the HalloweenTime SuperThread MHP FAQ for more information.

Also how is the castle inn?

Castle Inn was a pleasant surprise to us a couple of weeks ago (we go it on a deal where we didn't know the hotel before we booked - not Priceline though). The room was fine, the grounds were quiet and the service was excellent. It 's definitely walkable but I liked the Camelot's location better (very close to the cross-walk and right next door to McDonalds for coffee and cold drinks).

I thought Castle inn was quite nice. Much better than I expected. The rooms have all been refurbed recently. The staff was very nice, we had a issue with our tub and they took care of it while we were at the park for the day. We normally stay onsite or at Fairfield inn directly across from the park. But this was a last minute budget trip and we found a great deal on Castle inn. The walk was a little further than were used too but totally doable for me and my two teen daughters. Might be a stretch for little ones after a long day at the park.

It's Fall Break in Utah that week. Just the 16&17 but many people take their kids out for the entire week and head to DL. It will be busier than you'd think for October midweek.
