Busses between parks

I have two questions about using the bus from park to park.

1. Do the busses between parks run as often as busses going from parks to hotels, or hotels to parks? (I approx 20 minutes)

2. Does bus transportation between parks start as soon as parks open, or later in the morning?

Considering doing the 4 parks challenge and if I start with with an hour at AK (which opens an hour early that the other parks), how long would i be waiting on a bus if I was leaving AK before the other parks open to the public?
Thanks!

1. Yes, about every 20 minutes like they do to resorts.
2. Park to park busses start at 10 am. I assume this means the bus leaves AK around 10 am for your next park.

Yes, park to park buses run approx every 20 mins but they do not start running until 10:00AM.

You would need to take a bus to a resort then take a bus to another park if you're wanting to change to another park from AK prior to 10:00AM.

Assuming you have Hopper, Bus from AK to Contemporary, walk to MK. Use monorail to Epcot, Skyliner to HS.
OR
The reverse, AK to Skyliner resort / go to HS, Skyliner to Epcot, Monorail to MK

I anticipate you will be in AK longer than an hour, 4 park in a day is pretty easy depending on what you want to do in each park.

I would probably plan my second park to be one within walking distance of a resort. For example, hit AK, then take the bus from AK to BC and walk into Epcot, or take bus from AK to CR and walk into MK. Any time you have to wait for a second transportation option, you are doubling your potential wait time and losing park time.

Also, due to the proximity, I would do Epcot and DHS one after the other, not AK, DHS, MK, Epcot. Again it’s about maximizing park time over transportation time.

Guest would need to have a hopper to go to all 4 parks so that is confirmed.

can you rideshare? If so rideshare to your next park. (AK is the best park for rideshares as the rideshare area is close/closer to the park entrance than Disney’s buses.)

We've done 4 parks now a few times now, and it's totally fun. The first time, it was not planned, or else I'd have taken more pictures and had a plan for rides/snack, etc.
This past trip, Oct 2024, was the first time I used the park to park bus, from MK to HS, and it started at 10 AM. I got to the bus line about 9:50, and waited. Otherwise I'd just use Disney transportation from AK to get to a nearby hotel I could walk from , or boat/skyliner, etc. Like if going to MK after AK, just take the bus to the Contemporary and walk. Or if going to HS or Epcot, take the bus from AK to one of the resorts like BCV, then walk/skyliner etc.
Have a great trip!!

Thanks for all the responses, I had totally forgotten about the option of taking a bus from a hotel that has a park within walking distance!
