We are going back to WDW in September (we just got home a week ago)!!!!!

We were at the Poly last and spent alot of time at MK.

We'd love to try an EPCOT resort and love the sound of BW.

Now I'm reading alot about lousy bus service from there and the inconvenience of getting to the FRONT of EPCOT.

Any opinions?

We have stayed at BWI once and just returned from a stay at BWV. The bus service was absolutely fine both times. We have heard complaints about it, but have always experienced good bus service.

As for it being inconvenient to get to the front of Epcot, the only inconvenience I can see is that you have to walk further to get there than to the World Showcase. You would probably walk the whole park anyway, right? Why not start from the back and work your way to the front? That's what we have done.

Thanks for the encouragement, Ann!

Do they let you in the International Gateway for EPCOT early mornings? I'd assume they do and let you walk through to FW. We'll be heading straight to Mission:Space, of course!!!!

Inconvenience getting to the front of EPCOT...lol. The boardwalk couldn't be any more convenient for getting to EPCOT...including the front.

Stay, you will love the resort!

Yep. You enter the International Gate, and they've got CM's and ropes directing you to FW so that you can go right there. We've stayed at BW numerous times and never found a need to get to the front gate of Epcot.

The Epcot resort area is our favorite place to stay!

If you absolutely have to be at the front entrance of Epcot, the only way to do that (without walking through World Showcase) is to take the bus to the MK, then hop the monorail to Epcot from there. Time wise, it would probably be about the same. It would just be easier on your feet.

We have gotten some of our best pictures walking through England & Canada early in the morning. It is nice to walk through WS without many people!

We've stayed at The Boardwalk many times, but rarely use the bus system to get around.
Last month we did take the bus FROM Animal Kingdom to The Boardwalk. We stopped at Blizzard Beach, The Swan, The Dolphin, The Yacht Club, and The Beach Club before we got to the Boardwalk.
That was a little ridiculous.
(We should have walked over from the Swan but we were really hot and tired that afternoon.)

The Boardwalk is a lovely resort and the location is the BEST!
Enjoy your stay there!

We stayed at the Boardwalk last summer for a week and we absolutely loved it! It is a beautiful resort, friendly CM's, large rooms, and the pool -- well, me and my kids couldn't stop going down the Keister Coaster slide! haha

The bus transportation was good. We only had crowds once coming home late from DTD. Yes, they do stop at other resorts, and it sometimes seemed like it took longer than expected with all the stops. But the location of the Boardwalk allows for an easy walk into Epcot or a nice boat ride up the block to Epcot. The boats also go to MGM. We loved taking the boat ride, especially after the parks when we were tired of walking.

Any of the Epcot resorts would be ideal since they all have access to the Boardwalk area, which reminded us of an old "Jersey Seaside" amusement park. But we are partial to the Boardwalk resort since we loved it so much there. Enjoy yourself! I'm jealous!
:D

We just returned from the BWV and have to say that yes, we found the buses a pain....the boats were slow too. BUT, that's the only thing we didn't like about the Boardwalk and would happily stay there again.;)

We've stayed at the BWV and we are staying there in September. You don't have to use the busses to MGM and EPCOT so that takes care of 2 theme parks. You do have a walk to get to FutureWorld at EPCOT, but going through WS early in the AM is magical as others have said.

Everyone has their take on the bus system, but the busses are no better or worse than any other resort. So you should be fine.

The Boardwalk is great. go for it.

Add another vote for staying in the Epcot area hotels.
No easier way to get to the Studios and Epcot.
Great places to eat also!
