Anyone know if there are private business offices you can use or even rent in magic kingdom? My wife has some meetings to do over the phone and would rather not go all the way back to resort for an important 15 minute call. If they don't have these they should. Could rent them out by the minutes like at some airports. Lemme know. Thanks

It's a theme park, so I don't know that they "should" have business offices. I can't imagine they'd get much use, unlike at the airport where it actually makes sense, given how many people travel on business.

Most people don't go to a family amusement park "on business".

Fortunately, the solution is simple. Just walk or take the monorail to the nearest resort (Contemporary by walking, Grand Floridian by rail) and use the business office there.

Your wife can go, take her call, and be back at the Magic Kingdom inside of an hour.

I would just walk over to the Contemporary. Down in the convention area is a business office with computers, copiers and so on. I have used it several times over the years. Would be a 15 min walk from the MK. You can also take a boat over to the Grand Floridian, in their convention area is a business office. Same facilities as the Contemporary.

Agreed. The Contemporary is a short ten minute work and has the Ricoh Business Center, which is great!

Does she really need a business office or just a quiet place to take a call?

If its just a quiet place there are many and I have seen a few threads here about it.

There is a walkway from Tomorrowland to New Fanatsyland that gets very little traffic. Even just going to a resort will give her a lot more choices for a quiet corner.

umm why do you think a VACATION destination needs to waste space on something only one person in ten thousand MIGHT want to utilize?!

Yeah just walk to Contemp and she'll be back in no time. If her call is 15mins she could probably be back in 30-40mins

I respectfully think it would be used by a LOT more than 1 in 10,000. They are common at resorts outside the US. Here we tend to leave business centers in the hotels. Sadly a lot of us never are truly on vacation. When I am in Disney, I usually have to schedule 3-4 calls per day and have taken documents to review into the park. Now with a tablet its far easier, but I think a business center would get a lot of use.

Better yet, walk along with her and have a refreshing adult beverage while she's talking... when life hands you lemons, make Kentucky Lemonade!

Well, there's your answer right there. Here (in the US), business centers are in the hotels. Not in the amusement parks. I would hazard a guess that most resorts outside the US do not contain amusement parks either. WDW is in the US. Lots of disney resorts have business centers. You can find a resort with a business center relatively close to any park. Wallah.

That's a great idea! The Outer Rim Lounge serves up some great drinks and offers some nice relaxing views of Bay Lake and the kids could blow off some steam in the arcade (The Game Station). Turn it into a little break.

I was recently at HS when I had to participate in a conference call - got on a bus back to CSR, got to my room, participated in the call, caught the next bus back to HS and rejoined my family.

Took about 2 hours total (call was 45 minutes). I agree it would have been nice if there had been a small business center within the park that I could have used but I think OP and I are in the tiny minority of people with the types of jobs or careers we can't turn off even for half a day. Sucks for us, but it's what makes our trips to WDW possible.

:thumbsup2

Did that a few times as well :)

Except there's this really loud rumbling noise at the Outer Rim Lounge - I never did/could figure out where it was coming from.

It was just a suggestion. :goodvibes And I understand the suggestion because it probably happens more than you realize.

My DH had to participate on a meeting/call while we were at Animal Kingdom. He did go back to the resort. There isn't much that we can do about it. Sometimes that happens while on VACATION. People like to keep their jobs so that there will be other vacations in years to come. He dealt with that for a couple hours and was right back on vacation for the rest of the time.

The week of the 4th of July I did a call with a guy who was standing in line at Disneyland. LOL. He said that they had an hour+ wait, so he decided to make the most out of his time by doing a call to resolve an issue that we wanted to wrap up. Maybe it's just the culture at my company, but when people have to do that, everyone is typically very understanding. We're just happy when our people are willing to accommodate a call while on vacation.

You'd have done better to hop a boat or walk over to Boardwalk. A lot closer, and a lot less time wasted.

You don't have to go back to your own resort to use the business centre. Any resort will do!

Unfortunately, this happens more often than you may think. I've always wanted to separate business from pleasure. But if you want to be able to afford Disney and other vacations, sometimes it's necessary to mix the two. If I said "no", there are many others inline willing to take my place. And as others have noted here, it's usually just a quick hour or less.
