Going next week! I’ve never been to Disneyland and am curious which rides have the longest lines and if they have fast passes. We will be there for one extra magic morning (or whatever they call it there) so if there’s a ride like Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios that is almost always a 90 minute wait or longer, I’ll save it for the magic morning and hit the other busy ones on the other mornings.

Thanks!

DLR is a lot different than WDW. Get your planning in line with the DLR guide for WDW vets. Sorry you've planned a lot but this will still help a lot.

In DCA the longest line without FP is TSMM at about 45 minutes.
In DL about 45 minutes for the Subs with Nemo.

The rest of the rides have FP.

In DCA California Screemin, Soaring, Grizzly River Rapids(when it's hot), and probably Goofy's Sky School.

In DL Star Tours(FPs will be gone by noon), Indy, Splash, Space, Autopia.

Thanks! I looked through the link. Great stuff. But for the life of me I can't figure out what TSMM is.

Toy Story Midway Mania - the same one as in WDW that you mentioned. It doesn't have a FP and consitantly has 45min wait times, doesn't matter what day.

Ha! I think because I leave out the Midway it wasn't clicking. And I think because I'm going to WDW in November, I'll skip it this trip...unless for some strange reason the line is short. (So not going to happen.) But I want to check out all of the not at WDW/different rides first. The idea that Pirates is longer has me very excited!

Thanks!

Granted it's the same ride, TSM/TSMM and Soarin over Califronia, both have much shorter lines at DLR. So they might be something to do here rather than there so when in DHS and Epcot your focus can be on the different rides in WDW you didn't do in DLR.

Being sure to do the rides that are not at DW is a great idea. There are a lot of them. And there are a lot that are really different. You will LOVE Pirates. Soooo much better. Space is very different. Really, most of the rides are at least a little different. I'm trying to think of rides that are exactly the same, all i can come up with is TSMM and Soarin, but even the queues of theses are different. And walking up to a 30 min standby line for Soarin is quite different from DW.

Have a great time!!

It actually surprised me just how long the lines for Soarin' at Epcot can be when I went there, because I've easily managed to ride 3-4 times in a day at DCA with minimal waits, whereas there seemed to be a perpetual 75 minute wait at Epcot.

If you have the ability to use single rider lines, they can save you quite a bit of waiting for some of the popular lines. Soarin' and California Screamin' have these at DCA, and Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain have them at DLR (although Splash was closed for rehab on my last visit so I don't know how long that one generally takes. Even with the single rider line I still had to wait a fair bit a couple of times for California Screamin', but it was still faster than the standby line.

Oh, and if you can get there early, you can catch TSMM with a relatively short wait too. On my trip last year I got there shortly after opening and managed to get in two rides on about a 10 minute wait.

Actually, at the very end of the day, esp during WOC, last half esp, the wait time for TSMM is often only about 20 - 25 mins. I'm talking 9:30 or later.

Thanks everyone!

Soarin and TSMM (See I'm a quick learner) might just get passed on this trip--we've ridden them multiple times at WDW. Those get fast passed as soon as we step in each park.

But I'm so looking forward to California Screemin, Goofy's Sky School, Star Tours, Indy, and Space M (We actually don't like this ride at WDW, but I'm hoping the updated version is better.) And of course the longer version of Pirates!

So I guess my morning plans of action (ride or FP) will include those first five rides. I'm assuming Pirates isn't a long wait, it always goes fast at WDW.

Thanks again!
