first of all "weerd" is spelled weird

second of all (haha i said it this time) its politics, no one can talk politics with out getting into a debate, it just doesnt happen. well it happened once and that was when they voted for Washington to be our president, but not anymore.

Munky-i realize that...

ok this isn't coming out right.
I RESPECT him. I respect him for his religion. I agree with what he believes.... does that make better sense??

WHY CAN'T MY THOUGHTS MAKE SENSE?!?!?
.... can you go insane at the age of 15?

Better, but still sketchy.

were you old enough to vote then? if he could run again would you vote for him? you said you know nothing about politics. so if you do then you are voting off the base of the one thing you do know. his religon. so there really is no difference here.

There was no one to run against him! :rotfl: of course it was one sided. ;)

The religion thing is pretty much why Bush won. He got all the Bible Belt to vote for him, because he's conservative and said that Abortion was wrong. Wow, look at that Bush doesn't like Abortion and he loves God. It's a win win situation. Oh wait, Bush threw us into a war, made our country go into a spiraling debt, etc...

I wouldn't get elected into office then. I believe Abortion is necessary, and I'm not very religious.

same. I believe in abortion when it is necessary (when birth endangers the life of teh fetus and the mother. rape. cases like that) and I'm not religious.

Same here. I believe it is needed in the situation where say a 13 year old girl gets raped, and on the off chance gets pregnent because of it.

Well you can always still be pro choice and win into office. But I say we both not talk about abortion anymore beyond this point. lol, It will make this thread even worse. hahaha

No i wasn't. if i agreed with what his opinions and plans were, sure. So i don't know anything about politics, if he could run again, I would pay attention to the other guy or girl. religion has part in the decision for me. If 2 new people were running, each with different religions I would listen to each's opinions, beliefs, and plans before I made my decision on who I would vote for. If one guy was Christian and I knew he would run our country into the mud, and the other guy was Buddist and that he would help our country then no doubt about it I would vote for the buddist.

Yes. I just dont like the people who vote for someone SOLELY because they are catholic or somthing.

ok. You've confused me. you just said religion was a part of your choice, but then you said you'd vote for the person who's going to do a better job? :confused3

ok. so you'll vote for him, but you dont totally support him because he's buddist? is that what you're saying? (lol I'm still confused a little)

yea, that is what I am trying to say
(lol sorry, the only explanation i can give for the confusion is it's me)

I understand what she's saying. Pretty much that it would be nice for the president to share the same religious views as her, but she would rather have someone who could actually run the country then just someone with those same views.
