I'm democrate and I know what you mean. My whole state is filled with republicans except it seems like just a few people and it drives me nuts.

Oh, how sweet it is to be a democrat in NY. I feel so at home. You know The Daily Show With John Stewart made a good point. People who voted for Bush did so because of his stance on the war on terror, national security, and his morals (you know the whole gay marriage thing). But NY, the state that has been the most affected by terrorism and has one of the largest gay communities in NYC voted overwhelmingly Kerry. One of his "correspondents" sarcastically stated that NY is to close to the terrorism and "homoism" to fully appreciate the threat. Those in red states, since they are viewing it from far away they are better equipped to get the grand scope.

So thank you very much Red States, for saving us from ourselves.

i live in new york city and its pretty sickening, politically.
but bush managed to win 40% of the state, kerry taking 58%.. thats pretty poor on kerrys part.. he should have had at least 70% of NY, especially when democrats outnumber republicans by a 5-1 ratio here
