Bush says "Kerry could debate himself"

Bush, speaking to supporters, claimed Kerry had flipped on Iraq so many times he could debate himself...

I would think that SERIOUS republicans would be greatly concerned that the best bush can offer at his campaign stops is this tired falsehood that characterizes Kerry as a 'flip flopper'...It has been proven ad nauseum that bush has flip flopped on far more serious issues since becoming President (and I'm not saying Kerry has never flipped positions - but the main issue used by bush, the Iraq funding vote, wasn't even a flip and it has been adequately explained over and over) but this contradiction doesn't seem to concern many republicans and I wonder why?

I'm sorely tempted to say what I think Mr. Bush can do with himself but I'm trying to be good and besides I don't really want to be banned.

Seriously, I wish all the sound bite nonsense would cease. I want to hear issues discussed. I want them both to say what they truly mean and stop the rhetoric. Wonder what the chances of that are?

Seriously, if I thought for a minute that President Bush EVER thought through both sides of an issue, i.e., debated himself, I might support him. What bugs me the most about him is that he makes decisions based on his ideology, and even if the facts don't support it, he never changes course.

November 2 can't get here fast enough! Although a few weeks ago I would have launched into another debate, I've heard each side make the same points over and over enough times that I am beginning to get numb.

ITA! How shocking would it be to hear something new or even off the cuff at this point! A genuine engagement of the issues by either side would be such a blessing at this stage.
