Bush at 36%, how low can he go?

The state of this country is proof enough imho.

Which is what? Unemployment is below 5 percent. The stock market is hovering around 11,000. The economy is strong by most measures.

So in the last 2 weeks there have been 4 (or so) polls that all claim an "all time low" that aren't even the same number. How is this possible? And they just didn't keep getting lower and lower.

If you want to believe in polls, go ahead. I can make a poll produce a result to be anything I want. *IF* you ask the "right" questions or skew the polled group.

I'm not going to disagree with polls being able to be 'massaged'. but Bush has totally distanced himself with a huge majority of Americans, and I firmly believe he doesn't give a crap. he's a lame duck bent on furthering his own priorities at this point. I jumped off of the Bush boat 3 years ago and cling to a life vest as I watch that ship slide beneath the waves. there's no way he's going to close his presidency on a positive note or rating. as long as his family ties to the Saudi's are intact, I don't think he cares.

Then FISA is illegal because it allows warrentless searches. Oh wait, you can get one several days after the fact. Try that in criminal case.

Huh? :confused3

Maybe we ought to add another group to what's left of Bush's 34%: the truly entertaining who's arguments are so convoluted, Torture Gonzales would be proud.

FYI, FISA has a 72 hour window of opportunity to get a warrant which takes into account the instaneous communication of this era.

Even that was too much of an imposition on King George. Hey, he got da powa............somewhere.....someplace........maybe it's hiding under an Oval Office chair.

And the show just gets better and better.

I said several days in my post. (I guess you missed that).

Try that in a criminal case. Can't be done and the evidence would be tossed out. So what does that mean? FISA is overriding the 4th amendment by allowing warrantless UPFRONT searches and getting a warrant after the fact. How does that jive with the 4th?

And your point is what..........Bush is wrong and he doesn't have the power?

Works for me.

Have no fear! With polls this low what is one to do?? Hmm let me think. How about bombs away in Iraq? I know we were told the mission was accomplished three years ago but hell he has gotten away with one lie after another. Let's kill some more and show how tough we are on terrorism. Maybe his polls will go up? Bloodletting is good for that! :sad2:

What would you like to do to the bad guys; send them chocolates??
I am comforted by the fact that President Bush will do the right thing, regardless of the poll numbers. Bombs away!!

Bombs away says it all. Do you not realize there are children under those bombs? You really don't care do you? Damn to think we will blow them up after we just liberated them! Remember this:
What goes around, comes around.

This is an air operation using US "air" and Iraqi and US forces. This is a way to get Iraqi forces from one area to another where they know that there are insurgents. Why aren't you more concerned about the children that are being killed by IEDs, Car bombs and snipers? Should the terrorists be allowed to take over the country?

I am heartbroken for those children too. They are all dying due to our unjustified, illegal, immoral attack on Iraq!

Saddam was a much better killer. :sad2:

Our war is illegal because the bribed UN did not vote yes?? Oil for food anyone? Saddam rebuilds his palaces and military while the children get little or nothing. I guess Saddam's immoral attack on his people was ok.

Remember the children we freed from prison when we liberated Iraq?

Yeah, you're heartbroken.

If "tough on terrorism" = killing the terrorists before they kill more of us, then I'm all for it.

Who's side are you on anyway?

Maybe the word hasn't filtered to your little corner of Planet Bush, but there are only about 3000 Al-Qaeda fighters in Iraq today. You're fighting Iraqis, so drop the "we're fighting terrorists there so we don't have to fight them here" BS.

WE are fighting 3000 terrorist and their supporters. :thumbsup2

(You prefer more terrorists??)

They want to die for their "cause" and we are glad to help them. I hope those 72 virgins are as heartless and ugly as they are.

Joe, why don't you ask the over thousand people dead if they feel there's a difference between breached and topped. No, wait, you can't, because they're dead.

The President was in a briefing before the fact where he was told that these people were in danger, and he later said that no one could have anticpated that danger. It was intellectually dishonest for the president to hide behind that bit of semantics by not invoking the precise method that led to over a thousand deaths, just as it is every bit as intellectually dishonest for you to do so now.

Shame on you, Joe.

Shame on you.

Yes over 1300 died, mainly because the dikes were breeched, not just topped. The decree of danger was therefore much higher.

The President has accepted responsibility even though there is plenty of blame to go around at all levels, especially at the local level. A year earlier, a hurricane just missed them, and they knew they were not ready then.

more of the WE's from Joe. how many confirmed kills did you get today, Joe? how did you put YOUR life on the line today in the "War on Terror"? invading Iraq shouldn't have been the focal point in this effort. W just wanted to get "the man that tried to kill my daddy", and we found him in a hole under a mat in a farm. imagine if the same focus from the little tool W had been concentrated on Bin Laden.

We caught Saddam because someone squealed on him. Someday the same will happen to Bin Laden.

And how is your side of the fence doing in the war on terror? (Sending any "peaceniks" over to "understand" the terrorists and become hostages?) You and your DIS friends are busier attacking our President than you are the enemy.

Everythings hunky dory in the country, except for that little boost
to $9,000,000,000,000 for the government's debt limit.
So much for Republican theory of being "fiscally conservative".

I wonder when the ecomomic wizards in the bush administration are going
to start giving the American people the truth about their budgets by putting
the funding for the occupation in Iraq into the budget.
