Staying at the Fort for the first time next month, we usually stay at a Disney resort. How are the buses to the parks? I haven't noticed anyone complaining about how long they take.

We r too ;) u can either take the buses or the boat over!!! We went to walk around the fort in 08 & choose the boat (was a very relaxing ride)

No complaints other than the fact that the one that we want is always pulling away as we get there...but that happens at all of the resorts, that darn Murphy and his law seem to have jurisdiction over the Fort bus stop as well ;)

To get to the Outpost bus stop you need to walk, ride bike, drive golf cart, or take an internal bus. There is space there to park golf carts and park bikes.

The boat is a great way to get to and from the MK. And again, you need to get yourself to the marina by the same methods above and parking is available as well for bikes and golf carts.

We always use Disney transportation after we park the MH. Busses to HS and AK, and boats to MK and to EPCOT (with change to ferry at MK, then monorail from TTC to EPCOT). This last route is mainly because our kids love to ride the ferry and monorail. We use internal busses if we are far from our destination (like Loop 400 to the Outpost), but just walk if we are reasonably close (like Loop 400 to the Marina). The only exception to ALWAYS is is we need to make a grocery or medication run. Then we rent a car or beg a ride from a friend.

1) I think the bus drivers plan it this way.
2) If they can't tell you the latest and greatest info, they pull away from you

:cool1:.

Bus to parks is OK. Bus to other resorts is looong.
