Buses to Mini Golf?

So, we've played mini golf before at Winter Summerland before, but we had a car during those trips so I've never really given transportation to it much thought. Fast forward to today when Magic Bands arrive and my DD sees that we can play miniature golf for "free" and thinks that would be cool to try to do on our upcoming trip. If (and that's a big if ) we can find time and decide to "golf" how are we getting there? I know I can always do an Uber or Lyft, but trying to avoid that unless necessary. Any information on buses?

Take the bus to Animal Kingdom. From there you catch a bus to Blizzard Beach/ Wintwr Summerland. It is a quick 5- 10 minute bus ride.

The bus will say Blizzard Beach. BB busses only leave from AK.

To get to Fantasia Gardens, take a bus to HS. From there, Swan/Dolphin via boat or walk. The golf course is across the street.

So from my resort I would take the AK bus and then at AK I'd take another bus to Blizzard Beach? Do I do the same thing to get back then(just the reverse obviously)? Did busses used to go from each resort to BB?

Yes, you got it.

You are correct, the used to be buses from all resorts to both water parks. I forget when this changed.

Glad to know I'm not loosing my mind in remembering that buses used to go direct from the resorts. LOL

Does any of these directions change if BB is closed for the refurbishments?

I am one of those people who are ecstatic the busses do not stop at Blizard Beach on the way to/from resort and Animal Kingdom. Most of the time there would be no one who wanted to stop or get on. It was a detour that just wasted time. The few times there were folks wanting to go ack to the resort, they were wet and dripping all over the floor making it slippery for people moving around the bus. Or they would get the seats wet so the next person sitting in the seat would get a “surprise”. It was crazy to have all those busses stopping there especially in the middle of the day when no one was ready to leave the water park. I know Disney just wised up and saw how much it cost them in bus gas. Just run the special bus back & forth to the AK. The resort buses are already doing the AK run.

I can’t speak about during rehab. But when we went last April, Blizzard Beach was closed due to cold weather on the day we wanted to go to mini golf. The bus still ran as normal. I did check with the CM at our resort bus stop the day before, because I already knew B.B. would be closed. She radioed in & I was reassured that buses would be running normally.

For sure makes sense when going to other parks. Makes it harder when you are the water park guest maybe, but like everything when dealing with Disney transportation you take it all with a grain of salt and roll with the punches. I'm just glad to have people who know about it all to ask questions so there aren't surprises.

Perfect! I'll make sure to ask if we decide we want to try and go. Thanks for all the info!
