You can take a bus from your resort to any park or DTD and then from there to the Boardwalk. DTD busses run until around 2AM. Of course if you are staying at BC, YC, Dolphin, or Swan - you can walk there!
Have read on other posts that Disney runs late buses from the Boardwalk to the hotels due to the crowds at JellyRolls and Atlantic Dance since DTD is closed. Not sure how late or how this works - just have seen it on these boards.
There are no buses from other resort to BW. You would have to go to DTD and then hop on the BW bus there, or go to DHS and take the boat or walk. The walk is about 15 mins.
But...there are buses that run very late at night from BW to the other resorts. I have never taken one but am told they exist. They are similar to the buses that run from HDDR after that last show. They include more than the usual number of resorts on each route..so it takes longer than normal to get back to your resort.
Thanks for the info....we're trying to plan for an adults night out, and since there isn't a Pleasure Island, and I've heard there's not much else to do at DTD, I thought we'd try to visit the Boardwalk.
To be honest, I didn't know there was a hotel there, LOL...
I'm sure you can also grab a cab. It can't cost that much and will get you back to your resort quickly. I'm glad the BW is my home. We stay here several trips a year.
Yes, I was thinking about the cab thing, too. I think it will probably be worth the price to get back to the resort, rather than riding around forever on a late bus. I'd probably fall asleep and miss my stop!
I'm just glad to know that I do have a few options. I feel much more secure when I know ahead of time, rather than having to try and figure it out on the fly.
