Buses from DTD to Contemporary

DH and I have ADR for California Grille at 6:10pm. We wanted to attend the DVC block party at Pleasure Is. at 5PM. How late can we catch the bus from PI to Contemporary and still be there for 6PM? Do they run pretty frequently?

I think they run every 20-30 minutes. You have to allow around 45 minutes. I guess you could get to the stop at 5:30. CG will work with you if you're a few minutes late.

This is just my familes personal experience with buses from DTD - Contemporary but I have found they take forever. A few times we have waited & before the Contemporary bus arrived we saw repeated buses going to the All Star Resorts, Caribbean Beach, Board Walk/Yacht Club/Swan/Dolphin & Old Key West. So whenever going to Downtown Disney we go by car & never by Disney Transport buses.

That seems to be common - the high capacity resorts like All Star, etc. tend to get lots of buses but Contemp. doesn't even though they are the high-end resorts. I've always used a car for DTD from a MK resort...

I understand that WDW needs to run buses accoriding to how many rooms a Resort has, but sometimes I wish they could run more Deluxe Resort buses because those guests pay a lot more for their rooms. However I don't see that ever happening, so I won't hold my breath.

We had a similar poor experience with bus transportation to the CR. In June, we waited 40 minutes for a bus from DTD to the CR.
