Can someone give me an idea of how much time to allow to catch a bus from OKW to get to an breakfast/dinner reservation?

The following are some of our reservations and I am trying to determine how much time to allow:

Dinner at 5pm in MK at Tonys
Dinner at 6:15pm in MGM at Primetime
Breakfast at 9:30am at Chef Mickeys

Also what is the time needed to get to the parks?

MK
AK
Epcot
MGM

We will be at OKW from July 5-10th....Thanks!

When we used WDW transport,we found it best to leave an hour travel time to a park resturant and 90 minutes to get to another resort.

AK takes the longest. We usually allow 40-45 minutes to get there. MK is about 30-35, and MGM about 30-40. Epcot only takes 20-30. Of course, at Epcot, you have a long walk to world show case once you get to the park.

For Chef Mickey's you will want to take a bus to the MK and walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. The bus stop is on the Contemporary side of the entrance, so walking there would almost be easier than walking all the way over to the other side to catch the monorail.

I agree that an hour is good for a park restaurant and 90 minutes to get to another resort.

There are certainly some exceptions, but if you assume a worst case scenario and just missed the bus you want when you walk to the bus stop- there will be a 20-30 minute wait for the next bus to that same location, depending on where your bus stop is located- 10-15 minutes on the OKW internal route plus 10-15 travel time to get there once you leave the resort.

No switching is required for the dining you mention. Tony's is right inside the MK, Primetime is easily accessed once at MGM and the MK bus will allow you to grab the monorail or walk to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's.

The buses run on a continuous schedule every 20-30 minutes all day. Ask a driver for an approximate time schedule for leaving the parks and it will help minimize your wait time. The schedules are always affected by the number of guests getting on/off a bus, how prompt those guests are boarding and any special considerations like loading/unloading wheelchairs and special needs guests.

For any reservations or PS, I always assume I will have just missed the bus I need and allow that extra 30 minutes, plus travel time, for a timely arrival.

Good luck!

Another vote for the 60/90 rule. I use it not just at OKW but at all WDW resorts when walking isn't an option.

In April, we had PS at the Chrystal Palace. After waiting for a bus at OKW for almost an hour, we ended up about 45 minutes late at the CP. After explaining our tale of woe, our PS was honored right along with those folks who showed up on time.
My message is - should you be late, explain your situation to the CM and hope for the best.
