Buses around WDW...SO confused

Ok, so I have heard everything from the buses start running 2 hours before the parks open to they start running half an hour before the parks open. Does anyone know how early the buses start running?

I want to get to the parks EARLY so any of you early birds out there know if that will be possible with the WDW bus system?

Also, I am staying at POFQ. Any estimates on how long it takes to get from this resort to the parks? Or are they all different?

It is absolutely possible to be the first few in line at the turnstyles using the bus to Animal Kingdom and Epcot, just go to the bus stop at POFQ about 7:15 if the park opens at 9:00 and about 6:45 if the park opens at 8:00 for Extra Magic Hour.

It is harder to be one of the first few in line for Magic Kingdom and the Studios by using the bus as there are folks that can walk to those resorts, so they can line up at any time. However, you most likely can still be one of the first 50 in the park if you line up for the bus at the times I listed above.

Just make sure you realize that you will just stand in line at the turnstiles until park opening. Gone are the days when the CM's let you stroll down Main Street 30 minutes before the park really opened.

So the buses ARE running at that time? Or will that just ensure I am first on the bus?

It's not an exact science as to when the first bus will arrive at your resort for a particular park, (at least not that I've ever been able to figure out, and I always like to be one of the first in the park). However, if you get to the bus stop at the times listed above, the first bus should arrive within 10-15 minutes and you will be one of the first in the park.

You can figure about 15 minutes to the parks (give or take 5 minutes). The other thing to take into consideration when planning your time.....POFQ is picked up first, then the bus will go to POR for four more stops. For travel to DTD you can take the boat if you want a change of transportation.

The busses run until the park is cleared. After about an hour or so, the busses will start going to more than one resort. And the LAST bus will wait until all the remaining guests have left.
