How far is it to Busch Gardens from Disney Area aprox.?

Approx. 1 hour 20 min. depending on traffic and speed? Have a great time we may see you there if you are planning on going in Feb. 2006?

Anywhere from an hour to almost two hours, depending on the traffic (Busch Gardens is inside the city, so rush hour really can affect your drive). There are two popular ways to go depending where you get your directions - I-4 to Hillsborough Ave to 56th St. to Busch Blvd to McKinley Drive, and I-4 to I-75 to Fowler Ave to McKinley Drive. If you are arriving on a weekday during rush hour time (7 am to 9 am) take the second option. (Believe me, I really know this, I live a mile from BG!)

I've timed the drive from the intersection of I-4 and US 192 (near WDW) at about one hour and 15 minutes. It's 65 miles, so your exact time will depend on how closely you choose to observe the posted speed limit.

You can find a complete guide to Busch Gardens Tampa posted online here.

It will be worth your time to go. BG is a great family park and the "living statue" from Epcot Italy now performs there in front of Palace Theatre. Perfroming inside the theatre "Katonga" is not be missed. The new thrill roller coaster "Sheikra" is scheduled to open on May 21st.
