Busch Gardens with no coasters?

Hi

We have never been to Tampa or Busch Gardens. It is me ,dh dd12 and dgd7. None of us our coaster people. Is it worth it to go here, especially for the girls- if we won't ride the coasters? Is that the only rides there? My girls LOVE animals and we've been to Animal Kingdom a few times. Is this park similiar? Anything for younger children? Any info would be appreciated.

Busch Gardens is sort of a "combo" type park because there are different countries represented (Africa, Egypt, Germany, ?Ireland?) and they have animals.

If they love animals, but not coasters, it is probably about a one day deal. There is a "safari" type ride and you can also walk through sort of a trail to see them. The Clydesdales are there too. There are a few water rides, if you are interested and the weather permits.

Tampa has a very nice aquarium on Tampa Bay if you haven't seen it.

I did lots of research last spring and also found a neat reserve that many folks don't know about call Big Cat Rescue. You absolutely have to have reservations and the guides stay close. All types of big cats have been collected from circuses, family pet situations and they are there on the grounds in enclosures. While sad to see the cats in enclosures, they could not survive in the wild and had these folks not taken them in, they probably would have been euphanized.

Believe me, you can spend the whole day at Busch Gardens and not go on a single coaster or even a single ride. There are lots of animals to see. There are also interesting shows. If you're an animal lover you won't regret it.

I will be honest - my husband and daughter LOVE coasters - I hate them. They enjoyed BG but liked IOA better. I wouldn't waste the time and money to go there if you don't like coasters - just stay in Orlando.
