Hello, we've never been to BG in Virginia and wondering if there are fast food/pizza places outside of the park? Do you remember which places are there?

Also, do you know how much is a dinner at the restaurants in BG?

There are a bunch of decent options in BG. The Festhaus has pizza, fries, sandwiches, and some platters with indoor seating. There's a buffet in Italy. Trappers Smokehouse has very good food (barbecue chicken and ribs) with outdoor seating. There's a pretzel place by the new roller coaster in Oktoberfest that's great for a snack. Meals range from $12-15 it seems. The refillable cups and popcorn containers are a decent value. Quality of food is okay and comparable to WDW IMO, but with less selection. I think it's gone down hill in the last few years though. Oh, the fudge is yummy if you like that:)

Near the park, there is a Wendy's. Williamsburg has pretty much everything you would want in terms of fast food and chain restaurants. We often hit Carrabba's after the park which is by the Yankee Candle Store.

thank you for your reply. It is helpful to know that the meals IN the park will be about $15.

Saw your note about Wendy's and there are more options for fast food outside the park, thank you!

We like the carved turkey sandwich at the Fest Haus, it comes with potato salad. DH and I split it, and DSs split pizza and fries. We get enough to eat but not so much that we are too full to enjoy the park. The rides are great!
Remember the park is split up into countries, so there is Italian food in Italy (fresh made pasta I believe), Grogan's Pub in Ireland has some potato dishes I believe.
There are lots of restaurants on Rt.60(Richmond Rd) along with some nice shops. The Cook Out is a family favorite of ours, the milk shakes there are really good and inexpensive.

Right outside the park on US60 are McDonald's, Wendy's & a Taco Bell. If you drive a little further down 60, you'll find just about every restaurant chain known to man.

The Festhaus food, aside from the pizza and fries, has a German flare to it. Trapper's is our favorite for dinner. The park isn't very big.

Here's a link that gives you a quick overview of each eatery.

You don't mention if you will be staying in Williamsburg or just visiting the parks. Either way, outside BG there is a multitude of places from fastfood to mom and pop's to places like Olive Garden, IHOP, etc.

Like most towns, you will not have a problem finding a place to eat, deciding where to eat may be harder!

The Wine and Cheese Shop (in the little shopping center just outside the gates, by the Taco Bell and Wendys) is awesome. They have sandwiches, chips, and the best cookies I've ever had. We don't go to BG a lot but live really close to Williamsburg, and we've been known to make special trips just to get those cookies. :)

Absolutely visit FOOD FOR THOUGHT while you are in Williamsburg!
I live down in VA Beach but we have BG annual passes and this is our favorite place to stop and eat when we leave the park :)

Any recommendations at food for thought?

We usually eat on Richmond Rd. at Five Guys or Plaza Azteca.

In the park, we love the pretzel sandwiches which are around $9. We eat lunch in the park but eat a late dinner outside the park.

I love Busch gardens Williamsburg. My fav time to go is during food and wine festival because you can sample a bunch of foods from different countries! All that aside, I love their pizza and taco cones in BG by the ride escape from Pompeii. They also have a BBQ place that's pretty good too! ( near New France). There are a lot of options to choose from. I would like to try Italy next time! You can visit their website www.buschgardens.com for more ideas. :)

If you want to eat outside the park I would recommend colonial Williamsburg. They have a lot of cool shops and restaurants to choose from

I second the wine and cheese shop in Williamsburg! My mouth is watering thinking of their cookies!!

Great BBQ at Pierces Pitt BBQ.
